Beware of the firm, Smart Parking!As others reviewers have stated here, Smart Parking are as dodgy as hell. I was due to park for 3 hours at a cost of 4.00. I only had 3.70 in change on me and paid that as the sign said customers could return within the time period to pay any remaining fees. I went to a shop whilst at the beach, returning within the 3 hour period and paid the remaining 30p and departed before the 3-hour period was up. A few days later, Smark Parking issued me with a fine for not paying the full amount for the 3-hour period. I appealed via POPLA, Smark Parking refused to answer the case and so I won. You've been warned...
Close to beach gets very busy during summer months
Great safe place to park. Well organised and staffed. Go to the beach enjoy your day knowing your vehicle is safe. Reasonable prices
**Be aware of Smart Parking scam!**This car park is operated by Smart Parking. If you Google them you'll find they base their business in scamming drivers.A family member went there this Summer and received later on a 100 Parking Charge Notice for "overstaying", because it seems they start counting the time from the moment you enter the car park and not when you actually park(In Summer the car park is quite busy and you can easily spend 15-20 min looking for a free spot)Shame on the Council for letting these kind of companies operate and scam people
The Car Park is now 10 all day using Number Plate Recognition for anything that's not a coach. You can pay by phone or on the machine.Sadly the lovely staff have been removed....
